I submitted an essay to Real Simple Life Lessons contest. I fantasize that they are haggling over whether to pick mine and then they do, pick mine. They call me and tell me. I cry when, I hear, "You are the winner." Then, I scream. Then, I lay on the floor and look up my popcorn ceiling, and for a moment I imagine it's Michelangelo's Sistine ceiling, instead. Then, I super bunch Alyss and Tucker and Eric in my arms. I read my essay again and I know why they chose it. Then, I drink some champagne, the good stuff. I call some people and tell them.
Then, we book the flights to New York and when I am with the editors I tell them about my advice column idea and they love it and think it's the best idea they've ever heard. They hire me on as an advice columnist with Real Simple and then my essay becomes the first chapter in my memoir. And, of course, I live happily ever after.
And that's how it goes. I hope you all create a love story that becomes a life event for you today.

Children have adored Helen Lester’s unique and affable penguin Tacky character for more than two decades since the first of the series was published. Including Tacky Goes to Camp, Oceanhouse Media has now redesigned five titles of Tacky the Penguin series for the iPad and iPhone.
What readers will like best about Tacky Goes to Camp, and what I would classify as a standard to most Oceanhouse Media apps, including the Bippolo Seed and A Wocket in My Pocket, is the elegance of each illustration, text, and sound. The simple OM books style maintains both the integrity of the story and the fundamentals of reading for both young and older readers. Another must-have for any children’s digital library. "Unquestioning belief in the power of your True Self." The Law of Detachment - This law says that in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it. This doesn't mean you give up the intention to create your desire. You give up your attachment to the result. This is a very powerful thing to do. The moment you relinquish your attachment to the result, combining one-pointed intention with detachment at the same time, you will have that which you desire. Anything you want can be acquired through detachment, because detachment is based on the unquestioning belief in the power of your true Self. Attachment comes from poverty consciousness, because attachment is always to symbols. Detachment is synonymous with wealth consciousness, because with detachment there is freedom to create. True wealth consciousness is the ability to have anything you want, anytime you want, and with least effort. To be grounded in this experience you have to be grounded in the wisdom of uncertainty. In this uncertainty you will find the freedom to create anything you want.
Making your self vulnerable to the law of detachment is what your personal story is all about. Love, Michelle

I mean I love all the Seven Spiritual Laws outlined by Deepak Chopra and the one that resonates with me today is -- The Law of "Dharma" or Purpose in Life - The seventh spiritual law of success is the Law of Dharma. (Dharma is a Sanskrit word that means "purpose in life.") This law says that we have taken manifestation in physical form to fulfill a purpose. You have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world--and for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs. When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence. Expressing your talents to fulfill needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance. There are three components to the Law of Dharma. The first says that each of us is here to discover our true Self. The second component is to express our unique talents; the expression of that talent takes you into timeless awareness. The third component is service to humanity. When you combine the ability to express your unique talent with service to humanity, then you make full use of the Law of Dharma.
I think the way to enter the space of the Law of Dharma is through vulnerability -- exposing your pure self without attachment, defense or ego.
